I have my grumpy pants on.

I’m on the end of two short shifts in a row at work, (3.25 and 3 hours) on a Friday and Saturday night, when I have bills coming out of my every orifice, and just have a general distaste for life at this juncture.

The only way I can think of to describe it is I feel like I’m treading water. But there is no possible way to stop, if I do, I’ll drown. So I just plod along, keep on plodding along.

Actually it’s like a disgust sort of at the moment. A fed up. An “enough!”

The good thing is that my mother stuffs self help paraphernalia in my hands, so sometime I’ve read Jim Rohn’s “Four Emotions that can Lead to Life Change” and know that the emotion that follows “disgust” is “decision”.

“Decision” better come soon or it’ll be “demolition”.

I won a free three month subscription to a popular women’s magazine. I’ve just recieved my second copy. It really is such rubbish.

If you just stopped for a minute to think about what you were devouring you would discover a world of sheer lies, misrepresentation, airbrushes and fairytales.

Is it any wonder women have unrealistic expectations?

After a sleepless night (not in Seattle) I rolled out of bed and drove to work. We weren’t overly busy but it was hot, and making lattes in hot weather isn’t that fun. At 1 o’clock our function came in. They were DEMANDING. But they didn’t ask for things in one go. I would complete one request, and then get asked for something else. I ended up going back and forth, back and forth for ages. My feet are THROBBING. Still, and I’ve been finished for an hour. Then it turns out that the boss wouldn’t let the manager have another staff member for the evening shift and told her to keep whoever started latest (which was me) Also turns out one girl called in sick, and another thought she started an hour and a half later than she did in actuality. So two of us who had been there since breakfast stayed on for a bit longer. PRAISE the Lord that it didn’t get too busy, and we didn’t have to stay toooo long. I would have died. And I’m NOT exaggerating. Literally keeled over, right then and there. I was going to try to stay up as late as I can to fix my sleeping pattern but I’m really wanting a nap.

I have breakfast shift tomorrow, and it’s going to be 32 degrees, so I’ll need to concentrate.

My sleeping pattern is such a problem. I should do something about it! Especially now that it’s heating up, you don’t want to be staying in bed all morning.

I worked til 10pm, then came home and read some more cookbooks. I’ve found a few lovely recipes, so watchout for more Xmas posts.

My leg hurts. It’s a dull ache which reminds me of growing pains. Go away.

I also have a slight ache over my left eye, it must be that the left side of me is falling apart, because the leg is the left too.
